Follies’ Auxillary Reserve performs 1 of 11 Proposed Overtures of No Collusion: It Can’t Happen Here
This ad-hoc interdisciplinary ensemble provides the keynote for this season of follies. One of eleven planned DADA style overtures for a multi media-news-opera adaptation of Sinclair Lewis’s prophetic It Can’t Happen Here which predicted the rise of mad populist politics now sweeping the world back in 1935 and it rings true today like loudly breaking news on CNN.

Monotak performs The Landing is the Arrival
The composer’s collective, Monotak, is inspired by the still thriving movement that claims to have incontrovertable proof that the earth is flat and that all other contrary theories are part of a conspiracy of deception. Monotak uses this contentious concept to drive an audio/visual piece where music, texts, videos and shadow play provide an ascerbic commentary.

The IrkSumSet performs The Phaistos Recordings

With the Participation of The Ensemble Todo Modo, The Supernumeraries, Our Sorrow’s Two Thirds and The Arraying Vault’s Cabal.
This project concerns the Phaistos Disc, an iconic symbol of Greek antiquity discovered on Crete, which has long been the source of mystery, speculation and a certain degree of obsessive delirium. Is it the beginnings of literature or the first hit single? Four distinct ensembles will play/perform this paradoxical single in unison from different vantage points.
